When American Idol finalists leave, they usually head straight for their musical careers. But Phil Stacey has a complication: He’s in the Navy.
On Thursday afternoon, 15 hours after being voted off the TV show, Stacey said he plans to finish his term in the Navy but hopes to get time off for the American Idols Live concert tour this summer. And next year, he wants to leave the Navy to pursue a career in music.
